Megurine Luka

Luka is probably my favorite Vocaloid character of all time. I was first introduced into Vocaloid by Ren and Len with Daughter of Evil and Servant Of Evil. I started searching for songs and came across Toeto by Luka. Toeto is my favorite song because it kind of explains me. The beat and words are super easier to remember. This song is on my iPod about three times. One song just by Luka, the second song by most of the main vocaloid characters and the third sounds like a different tone of Luka.

Like most of the Vocaloid characters, Luka has a long, never ending list of songs. Here is a list of some of my favorites:

  • Dancer In The Dark
  • Dust
  • Go Google It (This Is A Duet With Gakupo)
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Happy Synthesizer (This Is A Duet With Gumi)
  • Magnet (This Is A Duet With Miku)
  • Blue Dream
  • Fake Or FAte
  • Just Be Friends
  • Music Box Of Time
  • Rip=Release
  • Secret
  • Toeto
  • Heart Beats
  • Luka Luka Night Fever
  • NEL
  • Free
  • ANTI THE (Insert Horizontal 8)HOLIC (This Is A Duet With Ren)
  • Child's Garden
  • Kinfe
  • For A Dead Girl
  • 7 Days
  • Boys Don't Cry
  • Desire
  • Discommunication
  • Dye
  • Heaven's Door
  • Leia
  • No Logic
  • One Night Disco
  • Period
  • Transient Future
  • Stardust Utopia
  • Nakimushi no Hatsukoi
  • Scissoroid
In my opinion Luka's voice is the best. It is not to low and not to high. For me, it is in the right range. I personally like her outfit. It is different and it is not something you see everyday. I greatly appreciate the wonderful youtubers you create AMVs to go along with the songs. It helps you understand the song just a little bit better. Some, even with some one giving a explanation in the description I still don't understand. However, I still listen to it because Luka's voice is just amazing.

A lot of people think Vocaloid is stupid because it is the same thing as auto-tuning. They think instead of having a cartoon (Grrrr!) singer we should have real singers. Here is my thought: think about this. The singer will never die. You don't have to worry about them taking drugs and ruining their lives. Someone does the voice of Luka, YĆ« Asakawa, and they used a program to change the tone. I know your probably wondering, "If there is a human providing the voice, how can they never die?". Well, because it is programed you can easily change the core singer. Some people just don't understand how much advanced Japan is compared to other countries.

I like how each Vocaloid has a character item. Luka's is Frozen Tuna.

Luka has a little mascot that represents her hair. It is a cute little octopus with her face and headband. It is so adorable.
I think that wraps up my blog about Luka. Please check her out!
