Anime Review #1 - Fairy Tail

I know this is an anime that has not ended yet but I want to get this off my chest.

First of all Fairy Tail is about Lucy, a 17-year-old girl, who wants to be a full-fledged mage. One day when visiting Harujion Town, she meets Natsu, a young man who gets sick easily by any type of transportation. But Natsu isn’t just any ordinary kid, he’s a member of one of the world’s most infamous mage guilds: Fairy Tail. Credits to watchcatoononline.com

The episodes expand over Team Natsu (Lucy, Natsu, Happy, Gray and Erza. Sometimes Plue) going on different quests. Most of them give the team trouble and require help from others.

I started watching this anime around episode 75 in Japanese sub. Now that they recently dubbed it I have been watching both. A lot of people prefer the Animax dub, which I never understood. To me, the Animax dub is childish, as if in a fandub. Trust me, I have seen youtubers do better than Animax. The offical one by FUNimation is way better. Some of the voices surprised me but they still fit good with the characters. One that I want to point out is Gray. They make him sound so awesome.

Many people think that the art of Fairy Tail is childish. I would have to disagree. Yes, the anime is very colorful but that is one of the key things that pulled me in.

In Fairy Tail my favorite couple is LucyxNatsu. Some people think NatsuxErza or NatsuxLisanna are better. I find Lucy and Natsu more emotionally attached. Natsu is always (well, most of the time) there to save her. A couple of my favorite moments between them is:

1. When Lucy was captured during the Phantom Lord Arc. Natsu had come to save her and Lucy knew he was there and jumped out of the tower knowing he would catch her.
2. When Mirajane suggests Natsu is in love with Lucy. The whole episode is adorable.
3. When they are in Edolas, Lucy got captured and Natsu said he would kill the guards if they touched her.

 Fairy Tail has a lot of life lessons and I am glad. There should be a purpose to every show, book or anything really. Fairy Tail teaches you that you need to rely on your friends.

I like how Fairy Tail has a variety of characters. Whenever I watch a show or read a book I like to find the character who is most like me. Fairy Tail gives you a great chance to do that. Most of my friends say I am most like Lucy. Is that a bad thing?

Another great reason why I like Fairy Tail is because it has MAGIC. I prefer animes that have stuff like this. Before re-watching anime I read books like Harry Potter and Fablehaven. I like the impossible and fantasy.
